Bassenthwaite Reflections is a Heritage Lottery funded programme of 22 exciting and varied projects. Through these projects we want to engage the whole community in getting to know and understand the Bassenthwaite landscape, with a view to changing those things that are damaging the lake.
The Reflections projects are split into 4 themes, with Education and Learning running through them all. Our themes are designed to cover all the elements necessary to manage the landscape effectively. The themes are:
Our Reflections projects provide you with the opportunity to have a real impact on improving your environment. You can join us for activities ranging from hands-on environmental work, to investigating and celebrating the fascinating cultural and environmental history of the area.
However you decide get involved, you’ll find it rewarding, educational and fun!
Dubwath Silver Meadows has now been officially opened! Come and visit this wonderful wetland with traditional hides and purpose built Access for All paths and boardwalk.
